Melodie Bishop is a well educated, professional, and friendly teacher. Her main goal in teaching
private voice lessons is to make sure that her students learn how to take good care of their voice and sing in a HEALTHY MANNER while becoming well-rounded singers, performers, and musicians.
This vocal technique involves learning how to use their natural voice in helping them to reach their goals to achieve: a richer
fuller tone; a wider vocal range; proper use of placement involving vocal registers; resonance (the HEALTHY amplification
of sound); breath support and control; phrasing; diction; musicality; expression; and much more.
Melodie guides her students through the journey of discovering their voice while incorporating the
fundamentals of music theory and basic sight reading skills in a FUN and engaging way using a step by
step process of applying what they learn to the songs and music they perform.
Learning music should be EXCITING,
and becoming a better musician and singer should be every students goal.
Melodie is friendly and easy to talk to and has developed a rapport of respect and admiration with
her students and their families. Melodie takes great pride in teaching and enjoys working with all of her students guiding
them as they grow in their vocal and musical talents. It is rewarding to see each student progress in their vocal abilities
and to watch their prowess and CONFIDENCE SOAR! She is proud of each
and every one of them! Many of her students go on to become prominent members of their community involvement in The
Arts whether it be local performance, community theater, school drama productions, choral societies, college music programs,
or school NYSSMA auditions every one of her STUDENTS EXCEL in
whatever endeavor they take on.
